Primeaux Publishes Article on Colt Firearms, Collecting and History
(Elgin, Texas – August 2009) In a slight deviation from his typical polyurea and coating / lining technical publications, Dudley Primeaux has published an article, “Colt SAA with Texas Roots – A collector’s story”. This is a story on collecting Colt Single Action Army revolvers and the history associated with delivery of that handgun. The particular Colt handgun was shipped in 1886 to Austin, Texas, not far from where the author lives. This article discusses the history of this Peacemaker, “The Gun that Won the West”, as well as the life and events in and around Austin, Texas during the 1886 period. Look for the article in future handgun magazines, or request a copy directly.
